Historical corn and soybean yield data for the United States
Have a question, found a data issue, or have a feature request? Email ibendahl@gmail.com and we'll get back to you.
Where does the data come from?
All yield data is sourced from USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS). Crop Reporting District (CRD) figures that USDA stopped publishing after 2019 are reconstructed using a production-weighted rollup of county-level data — see the in-app Data Sources & Methodology page for full details.
Does the app need an internet connection?
No. All data is bundled with the app at install time and works fully offline.
What's included in the free version?
National-level data and Kansas are available at every level (state, CRD, and county) for free. A one-time purchase unlocks the remaining 17 states.
I purchased Full Access on another device — how do I get it here?
Open the Info tab and tap "Restore Purchases." Since it's a one-time purchase tied to your Apple ID, it will unlock automatically on any device signed into the same account.
Is this an official USDA app?
No. US Crop Yields is an independent reference tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by USDA.
